JoAnne Hartley, Owner

As owner of Molecules Salon, JoAnne strives to provide highly trained hair stylists believing education is necessary in staying on top of the latest looks and trends. She loves showing a woman just how beautiful she can look and believes hairstyles should reflect an individual's personal taste.



JoAnne has been in the industry since 1979, and stays passionate about her work through her own continuing education. She attends the International Beauty Show in NYC annually. She is well trained and has attended too many classes and workshops to name.JoAnne Hartley, Owner

 

She has studied under Vivienne MacKinder of NYC, who recently was honored at the North American Hairstyling Awards with a Lifetime Achievement Award and recognized as a Beauty Industry Legend. JoAnne attended a hands-on photo workshop with Vivienne in NYC in October 2008 where the photos made national hair magazine covers in Canada and in the United States. JoAnne has also taken other classes with Vivienne specializing in hair extensions and wigs. She is a "Look Good, Feel Good" representative with the American Cancer Society. JoAnne was the first in the state to bring Great Length hair extensions to Mississippi. She understands and enjoys every areas of the fashion industry. She attends in-salon educational classes at the Mark Garrison Salon in NYC. Mark formerly worked with Frederic Fekkai in NYC before opening his own salon in the Upper East Side several years ago.

JoAnne also visits salons throughout the United States in her quest for education. She is determined that her salon guests should look like they just left the best salons in NYC and that her staff should have every opportunity to be the best in the industry. She is continuously making changes to the salon with the latest and best products. Working closely with her team, she encourages them to stay motivated and have an eye for detail to achieve their personal best. Liz Hartley, Stylist

Throughout high school Liz worked in hair salons so she knew from an early age that she wanted a career in the hair industry. After graduating from Mississippi State University with a Fashion Merchandising degree, she attended the Aveda Institute in Florida become a licensed hair stylist.

She has been with Molecules Salon since 2005 and has attended the International Beauty Show in NYC in 2007 and 2009. She has attended several classes throughout the South and in-salon training classes. She is very knowledgeable in products and understands their importance in creating beautiful hair.

She loves using her creative ability to beautify Missisipppi and has the clientele to prove it!

She gives walking lessons to young women for stage performance in pageants as she was Most Beautiful in high school and a beauty every year at Mississippi State University.


Nikki Henry, Stylist

Nikki Henry, Stylist

Nikki started with Molecules upon graduation from hair school in June 2008. She has attended hair classes throughout the South and district trend for 2007 and 2008.

She believes everyone deserves to feel good about him or herself. She loves being a part of that because she loves every facet of fashion and what girl does not love a fabulous makeover?

She attended the Aveda Advanced Cutting Academy in 2009 in New Orleans.

 

She has attended several in-salon classes and is growing a clientele rapidly with her personality and natural talent. She is also doing Great Lengths Extensions.

Lauren Moore, Stylist

Lauren Moore started as an apprentice with JoAnne when she was in hair school. Upon completion of hair school in 2007, she has built a loyal clientele wth a waiting list and is known to love giving clients a beautiful look and enjoys funky looks, too!

Lauren is trained in Great Lengths hair extensions and has been maintaining several clients' extensions for years. She is never afraid to try a new style and finds the ever-changing profession exciting. She is always eager to attend educational classes. She has attended the International Beauty Show in New York City for the last three years and several additional color classes throughout the South as well as in salon education and local workshops. Also she has attended the Aveda Advanced Cutting class in New Orleans.

 


Lauren Longo Smith, Stylist

Lauren Longo Smith, Stylist

Lauren started in the industry in 2007 and has been employed with Molecules Salon since January 2009.

She loves being a hair stylist because of the freedom to express herself and her artistic abilities through her work. She was attracted to the industry because she enjoys making people look and feel fabulous.

She has attended Aveda Color I and II classes, CHI cutting class, the Bumble and Bumble Hair Show in Chicago, and the Premiere Hair Show in Birmingham.

 

She attend Aveda Advanced Cutting Class in New Orleans. She has also attended several in-salon classes.

 


Brandi Yelverton, Stylist

Brandi Yelverton, Stylist

Brandi worked for Molecules in 2007 as a receptionist when she realized how much she would love to be behind the chair. She enrolled in Cosmetology school, graduated in 2009, and immediately returned to Molecules. She has attended IBS New York hair show, Birmingham, AL hair show, and has currently been taking Loreal color classes to learn new techniques. She loves working with the public, making people feel beautiful, and the feeling that she gets when the clients are pleased. Trying different color techniques is her favorite and has a specialty in blondes.

Brooke Pumphrey, Salon ManagerBrooke

The Salon industry is a complex and demanding field in which requires high attention to details. Brooke not only brings the professional aspects to Molecules but gives our clients the attention they deserve, not only with a warm welcome but a sincere desire to see they receive the professionalism they deserve..

 

Brooke's Management responsibilities include: Keeping Current all Salon Appointments, Salon and Pageant events, Hair Styling Exhibitions, Product inventory and Salon Marketing Materials.

 

Thanks to Brooke, Molecules Salon is always well organized and kept in the professional appearance the industry desires.

 

Amy Stokes - Newest New Talent HairstylistAmy

Amy graduated the Mississippi Institute Cosmetology and obtained her Cosmetology License in 2010.

 

Amy has also attend many seminars to further her knowledge in the Salon industry. With her warm personality and her eye for fine detail, she especially enjoys updos and makeup as she designed party hairstyles for special events long before she attended hair school, proving her natural born talent as as stylist.
